How to make Red Rice Flour Puttu
Ingredients:
Red rice flour
Salt to taste
Boiled water
grated coconut
Puttu maker
butter
Method :
- Take red rice flour as much as you require
- Salt to tsate
- Add littile by littile the boiled water the rice flour and mix it
- Repeat it, it should NOT change to dough
- Continue to mix it with hand
- Beat the mix with a tin or steel cup just like chopping
- Now stir it with hand
- Now the puttu flour is ready
- Take a cup of grated coconut
- Add the grated coconut in the flour and stir it
- Bring the water to boil in a vessel
- Take a puttu maker or a idli cooker
- Spread a littile butter onit
- Put the mix in it.
- Place it on the top of the vessel in the stove, close it with a lid and steam it.
- After 5 min., stir the puttu and continue to steam.
- In about 7 to 10 minutes, puttu is ready..
